Serving Harrisonburg, Dayton, and Massanetta Springs, VA

Driving has become more than just an activity designed to get us to our destinations; it has become a passion and a yearning to enjoy the open road with windows down and music blasting. All of these come together in two neatly wrapped packages from Subaru Motors, known as the Subaru Impreza, and the Subaru WRX.

Performance

Beginning with one of their most famed and trusted compact vehicles is the Subaru Impreza. Known for its reliability, comfort, and features for a modest price tag, the Impreza is more than just a commuter car. Coming in either a hatchback or sedan, the Impreza is intended to be an "every man" car, perfect for day to day highway commuting or weekend warrior trips to the next town over. Like all Subarus, the Impreza comes all-wheel drive, reaching gas mileages of up to 28 city and a whopping 38 highway. Though modest in power, reaching only 150 horsepower, this car is intended for an individual looking to drive an honest car with surprising comfort and reliability.

Up next is the WRX. Considered an upgraded model of the Impreza, the WRX features a 4 cylinder turbocharged engine reaching an exciting 268 horsepower, more than enough to move the compact WRX down the road and into corners with ease. Again, like the Impreza, the WRX is all wheel drive, meaning tires stick to the road when you put the pedal to the metal. The WRX comes down slightly on gas efficiency, but features all of the same comforts and leisure as the Impreza. Fit to be a weekend project or a daily driver, the WRX can meet the needs of driving enthusiasts and business commuters. Weighing a light 3200lbs, the WRX sails down the road with that iconic Subaru engine rumble.

Appearance

Not much is different in terms of appearance in the two vehicles, both available in hatchback and sedan options, along with the same color codes as well. Both cars feature sleek and modern aerodynamic designs. The WRX features a few body kit options including side skirts and more aggressive bumpers. Also differing with the WRX is an added hood scoop to feed the turbo intercooler, along with the option of a rear wing or spoiler to add. The WRX also comes with at least 17 inch wheels, capable of meatier tires when hitting the road.

Safety

Both vehicles feature great safety ratings and top of the line safety features. Multiple features included in both vehicles are a rearview camera for backing up, driver side knee airbags, and emergency braking. Also included is Subaru's EyeSight safety suite, including lane control, lane change assist, and blind side detection. Both vehicles, being all wheel drive, also maintain the incredible edge of staying connected on the road when hazardous conditions hit the pavement.

Subaru has come out with two incredible vehicles, capable of being perfectly suited for a multitude of individuals. Stop by the dealership today and take a test drive in one of these wonderfully engineered vehicles.
