What's New for the 2025 Subaru Outback?

The original Subaru Outback launched almost three decades ago as an off-road-ready model that was styled somewhere between a wagon and a crossover SUV. The model immediately gained traction and has been a critical part of Subaru's lineup over the years. Now in the middle of its sixth generation, the 2025 Outback brings a few improvements to the mix for you to explore and enjoy.

The 2025 Outback continues to be available in nine trim levels. The fourth trim level, which is the Limited, sports a few interior enhancements. Its new features are a navigation system, an 11.6-inch infotainment system screen, driver attention monitoring, a heated steering wheel and a power sunroof.

The Limited XT sits directly above the Limited in the lineup. It offers more robust capabilities. Under its hood, you will find a 2.4-liter, turbo four-cylinder engine that is good for 260 horsepower.

Other than these changes, the 2025 Outback remains the same. The exterior is both sleek and functional with a low, tapered roof, solid ground clearance and front-to-rear body molding. The molding is more pronounced across the bottom of the door panels, over the fenders and underneath the headlights. The LED headlights are dramatically angled and pointed. The hexagon grille is disconnected from the headlights and sports a blue Subaru logo, a thick accent bar and wavy mesh.

The many other appealing traits of the 2025 Outback are carryovers from the previous model year. These include a rear cross-traffic alert, auto emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, a Harman Kardon sound system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a wireless internet hotspot, a navigation system, a power liftgate, a panoramic sunroof, fold-down seats, a wireless charging station, an 11.6-inch touch display screen, a heated steering wheel, heated seats across both rows, USB ports and many additional features.
