2025 Subaru Crosstrek vs 2025 Subaru Forester

Serving Harrisonburg, VA

The Subaru lineup is recognized for its unique combination of practical utility, modern features, and captivating designs. The 2025 Subaru Crosstrek shows off remarkable updates for you to enjoy. The 2025 Forester is a next-generation SUV with bold updates to its look, engineering, and features. Our associates at Bob Wade Subaru are excited to help you compare these excellent options.

Performance

The 2025 Crosstrek's base trim level has a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine that delivers 152 horsepower. The higher trim levels have a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter, 182-horsepower engine. All-wheel drive and a continuously variable transmission are standard for every Crosstrek.

The 2025 Subaru Forester offers one engine for its trim levels: a 180-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. The Wilderness comes with slight tweaks that raise the output to 182 horsepower. Like the Crosstrek, the Forester has a CVT and all-wheel drive.

Appearance

The Crosstrek has strong angles across its profile to promote aerodynamics and to create a sporty look. The sides are distinguished by geometric wheel wells with thick molding. Dark molding winds over the bumper and surrounds the circular fog lamp ports. The wide grille has curved sides and a unique, twisting mesh pattern. The headlights are ovular and angle inward.

The Forester has a taller look with only subtle angles over the profile. The sides are smooth with modest, edgy definition and molding over the fenders. The nose is styled with trapezoidal elements in the molded bumper as well as larger LED headlights. The grille has a layered, linear mesh design.

Features

The Crosstrek and the Forester are both available with StarTex or leather upholstery, a blind-spot warning, a sunroof, a Harman Kardon sound system, a navigation system, heated front seats, rear auto braking, evasive steering assistance, a heated windshield, an 11.6-inch touch display screen, wireless smartphone app connections, USB ports, Starlink and others.

The Forester builds on these features with a driver attention warning, a surround-view camera, gesture controls, a digital rear mirror, a front-view camera, and several additional features.
