What's New for the 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid?

The 2025 Subaru Forester launches its sixth generation and introduces a hybrid version. The Forester Hybrid is a compact crossover SUV that delivers the rugged utility that the brand is recognized for along with the style and features that today’s drivers want. In addition, the model introduces a refreshed look and a new paint color option.

The 2025 Forester Hybrid has all of the paint colors available with the gas-powered version and now gives you Daybreak Blue as another color. The innovative design shows off a tall, flat roof line to ensure substantial cargo and passenger space in the cabin. Dark molding runs from bumper to bumper. As it rounds over the fenders and along the door panels, the molding gains sharp corners for a modern look. The hood is flat and makes a slow descent to the wide grille. The grille is accented with horizontal linear elements and integrates flawlessly with the multi-elemental LED headlights. Slender fog light ports and metallic accents also dress up the Forester Hybrid’s front end.

Under the hood, the Forester Hybrid’s flat-four, 2.5-liter engine pairs with an electric motor. This 194-horsepower system comes with a continuously variable auto transmission and all-wheel drive. It boasts 8.7 inches of ground clearance for added functionality.

The latest features available in the Forester are also offered in the Forester Hybrid. These include a foot-activated, hands-free power tailgate and an electric power steering rack. You can choose from four trim levels for the Forester Hybrid, including the Premium, Sport, Limited, and Touring. The trim levels’ features are comparable to those offered with the gas-powered Forester’s equivalent trim levels. Some of these are an 11-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, synthetic leather upholstery, a navigation system, heated seats, a driver attention warning system, rear auto braking, a digital rear mirror, an auto climate system with gesture controls, one-touch power-folding rear seats, reclining rear seats, a blind-spot warning system, wireless smartphone app connections, a wireless device charging station, and others.
