Proudly Serving Harrisonburg, VA
Iconic is an overused word, but it fits when you're talking about the Subaru Outback. This vehicle is just what most people think of when they think of a wagon/SUV/crossover vehicle. It's reasonably priced, roomy without feeling bulky and it includes all of the features you'd expect to find in the consistent industry leader in this vehicle genre.
Performance
All trim levels of both the 2018 and 2019 models come with with all-wheel drive and continuously variable automatic transmissions. All trim levels come with a 175-horsepower, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine standard. The Limited and Touring trim levels also have an optional 256-hp, 3.6-liter six-cylinder available.
Appearance
There aren't really any exterior differences between the 2018 and 2019 models of the Subaru Outback. And while there are five trim levels available in each model year, the only exterior difference in any of the trims is in the 2.5i Touring model. That trim package includes dark-gray grille inserts, 18-inch wheels and silver-finish roof rails on the exterior and an interior that includes an exclusive interior color palette of brown leather seats with contrasting white stitching.
Features
Both the 2018 and 2019 Subaru Outbacks come with five trim levels and both years include basically the same features. The only big differences between the two model years is that the 2019 models include a new 6.5-inch multimedia system inside. Subaru has also added its EyeSight safety technologies bundle as a standard package. That includes a backup camera, rear safety warnings and a lane departure warning system.
Aside from the standard configuration, five optional trim levels are available in both 2018 and 2019. The 2.5i Premium models ups the size of the multimedia screen to 8 inches and includes an all-weather package with heated mirrors and heated driver and passenger seats. The 2.5i Limited models adds heated rear seats, rear air conditioning vents and leather seating surfaces. It also includes standard keyless entry with push-button start along with an auto-latch power liftgate. The 2.5i Touring model trim gets the upgraded trim package mentioned above, along with standard LED adaptive headlights. The big addition in top-level 3.6R Limited and 3.6 Touring trims packages is the addition of a more powerful 256-hp, 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine.
