The large headlights show off an LED bulb surrounded on three sides by an LED ribbon. The air inlets below the headlights angle inward for an athletic touch.

The Ascent’s spectacular engineering is unchanged for the 2026 model year. Every trim level is equipped with a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder turbo engine. This unit comes with a continuously variable automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. It puts out 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque.

The only change inside the 2026 Ascent's cabin is on the Premium trim level. Now, this trim level comes with water-resistant synthetic leather upholstery for the first time. Other features carry forward from the 2025 model year on a trim-by-trim basis.
