The Subaru Crosstrek introduces its third generation for the 2024 model year, and it brings thoughtful updates to the safety and infotainment technologies, the design, and the engineering. Most of the trim levels are unchanged for the upcoming model year, and they continue to be the Crosstrek Base, Premium, Sport, and Limited, but the Crosstrek Wilderness trim is all new for 2024. While all Crosstrek trims are designed with both utility and performance in mind, the Crosstrek Wilderness trim stands apart from the others with elevated capabilities and the availability of several optional features.
Performance
The first two trims in the 2024 Crosstrek lineup are designed with a 152-horsepower, 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine. The Crosstrek Wilderness trim has the same powertrain as the Sport and Limited trims. This is a 182-horsepower, 2.5-liter, four-cylinder system. All Crosstrek trims come with all-wheel drive and a CVT. The 2023 Crosstrek Wilderness also has a raised suspension to increase ground clearance.
Appearance
The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek is remarkably redesigned with steep curvature over its profile. The new design on the grille's mesh combines with a boomerang-shaped accent over the small foglights. The headlights are dramatically angled. Molding lines the entire lower perimeter of the 2024 Crosstrek, and it is particularly pronounced over the fenders. Most trims have heated side mirrors, roof rails, and a heated windshield. The Crosstrek Wilderness's exterior has enhanced body panels for greater protection, all-terrain tires, and 17-inch wheels. A sunroof is optional.
Features
The 2024 Crosstrek Base is well-equipped with a 7-inch touch display screen, a four-speaker sound system, a dual-zone auto climate control system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a rear seat reminder, lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, a lane departure alert, and forward collision mitigation. Higher Crosstrek trims may also include a wireless phone charger, evasive steering assistance, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, lane-keeping assistance, a blind-spot alert, and a few additional features. The Crosstrek Wilderness adds synthetic leather upholstery, powered driver's seat adjustments, and a premium Harman Kardon sound system.
