What's New for the 2024 Subaru Impreza?

In 2024, the popular Subaru Impreza makes an exciting departure from the norm with the debut of its sixth generation. The Impreza will now only be offered in a hatchback, and its exterior has been stunningly redesigned. While the model retains its enviable appeal, it shows off a redesigned front end. The grille is now taller and has matte black rather than chrome trim. The rear shows off redesigned headlights, and the wheel wells at the rear are arched.

In addition to this improvement, the 2024 Impreza introduces the RS trim. This trim will have the same 2.5-liter, 182-horsepower engine in the Crosstrek. The Impreza’s Premium and Limited trims are discontinued in the new model year. The other Impreza trims retain their powertrain. This is a 152-horsepower, four-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine. This engine is no longer available with a manual five-speed transmission. A CVT is the standard option. In 2024, the Impreza Sport and RS can take advantage of paddle shifters, and eight presets for a simulated manual mode. The all-wheel drive system offered in the 2023 Impreza is now enhanced by active torque vectoring. Other performance-boosting changes include dual-pinion electronic steering and enhanced structural rigidity.

The updates to the 2024 Impreza continue with several improvements to its safety and cabin features. The EyeSight assistive technologies remain, but they have been enhanced to detect pedestrians and cyclists better. The central display screen now stands vertically and measures 11.6 inches. This replaces the 8-inch screen that was offered in 2023. The cabin continues to provide many of the other features that drivers have appreciated in the 2023 model year, including leather seating, auto and remote climate control, voice controls for the infotainment system, heated front seats, keyless entry, wireless internet access, USB ports, remote vehicle access, USB ports, and others.
