 What's New for the 2023 Subaru Legacy?

The Legacy sedan has been a desired option in Subaru’s exciting lineup for several decades. In 2020, the Legacy’s seventh generation was welcomed by enthusiastic car shoppers, and it brought notable updates throughout the model. In 2023, Subaru has introduced more improvements to the safety features, performance capabilities and design.

The Subaru EyeSight safety features have stepped up to the next level in the 2023 model year. These features now include auto high beams, lane-keeping, a lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, evasive steering assistance, a blind-spot monitoring system, reverse auto braking, a driver monitoring system and several others.

Under the hood, the 2023 Subaru Legacy Sport trim level benefits from a dramatic improvement in horsepower output. This turbocharged engine, which is also offered in the Touring XT trim, produces 260 horsepower. The other trims continue to receive 182 horsepower from a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter engine. All-wheel drive and a continuously variable transmission are standard for all of the 2023 Legacy’s trims.

On the exterior, the Legacy has a fresh, confident look that is easy to fall in love with. The profile displays a sporty, well-defined hood and a clamshell-like roof. The large, hexagonal grille has horizontal bars as well as a thick, chrome accent bar that wraps outward to the LED headlights. The sporty styling is boosted by C-shaped air vents on the nose.

The appeal of the 2023 Subaru Legacy is also enhanced by its brilliant selection of features. Some or all of this year’s Legacy trims have power-folding and heated side mirrors, a front-view camera, leather material, a navigation system, a sunroof, a heated steering wheel, a 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, an auto-dimming rear mirror, a push-button starter, an 11.6-inch touch display screen, a dual-zone auto climate management system, heated front seats and wireless smartphone integration.
