The changes to the 2023 Subaru Ascent begin on the exterior with fresh styling at the front and rear. This long, sleek SUV has molded fenders and a tall hood. On the nose, the large headlights have a flared quality, enhanced by an LED ribbon that partially encapsulates them. The grille is prominent and displays a horizontal grid for distinction. Across the center of the rear, a molded element extends toward the C-shaped taillights. The thick bumper is dressed up with a pair of exhaust finishers.

The interior design has not been revised this year, so it continues to have a pleasing ambiance with an array of advanced features. The central display screen has been enlarged to 11.6 inches, and other features hold steady. Depending on the 2023 Ascent trim selected, your SUV may offer ambient interior lighting, a household power outlet, a Harman Kardon sound system, a navigation system, a panoramic sunroof, memory settings and heat in the front seats, leather material, a power liftgate and an exciting selection of other features. Several new safety technologies have been added to the mix. All trims are outfitted with forward collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control, adaptive headlights, and lane keeping. Additional safety features are added at higher trim levels.

The Ascent’s capabilities have not been changed in the 2023 model year. The five trims all receive 260 horsepower from a four-cylinder, turbo 2.4-liter engine. Standard features also include all-wheel drive and continuously variable auto transmission.
